Pocket Paper - Printing Guide

1. Print PDF pages 1-4 only. Use the paper size named in the file, landscape orientation, actual size / 100%, and double-sided printing with FLIP ON THE SHORT EDGE. Do not enable an additional booklet or multiple-pages-per-sheet mode.
2. First try one sheet with your printer. Its front should show logical page 8 on the left and the cover (page 1) on the right. Its reverse should show page 2 on the left and page 7 on the right, both upright after turning the sheet like a book.
3. Print the two sheets. The outer sheet is 8 | 1 with 2 | 7 on the back. The inner sheet is 6 | 3 with 4 | 5 on the back. Nest the inner sheet inside the outer one and fold both together along the centre.
4. Check that the pages read 1 through 8. Staple along the fold if desired. No trimming is needed. This instruction sheet may be printed separately, single-sided; it is not part of the booklet.

The digital pocket PDF has ordinary page order. Use it for screen reading or if your printer cannot handle duplex imposition.

Print-shop note: two-up saddle-stitch imposition, eight logical pages, two physical sheets. Paper thickness and printer margins vary; a physical test print remains necessary.
